Optimus V3? Musk teases Tesla’s ‘most epic demo ever’

Amid Tesla’s dipping sales and United States President Donald Trump terminating the electric vehicle (EV) mandate that was in place to promote the technology through federal tax credits, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has just announced the company’s “most epic demo ever.”

Indeed, Musk was active on his social media platform X over the weekend, where on July 14, he posted a cryptic update about the “most epic demo ever” set to come out by the end of this year, as he informed the wider public that he had “just left the Tesla design studio.”

What the ‘most epic demo ever’ could show

Meanwhile, some have speculated that the announcement could be referring to Optimus V3, the latest evolution of Tesla’s humanoid robot, pointing at Musk’s more recent comment on X under a post with videos showing the company’s progress in the field of robotics, where he proclaimed that “Optimus V3 is amazing.”

Commenting on this possibility, crypto entrepreneur and one of X’s most influential users who often interacts with Musk there, Mario Nawfal, opined that “Tesla’s robot butler era” had begun, listing all the things that Optimus V2 alone can do already, like “stir pots, vacuum, wipe counters, and take out the trash.”

Among other hypothesized innovations is the Tesla Roadster, an upcoming all-electric supercar with record-setting performance and efficiency and the likely successor to the first-generation Roadster. As a reminder, the new version was supposed to come out in 2021 but has faced significant delays and is now anticipated for production and delivery starting in late 2025 or early 2026.

Speaking of which, Tesla has remained one of the most popular auto brands in Europe despite widespread resistance against the company due to the political stance of its CEO and even extremists in Germany claiming responsibility for a fire at a construction site linked to Tesla.

More recently, the Tesla Model 3 has earned top marks in European safety tests – scoring an impressive 359 out of 400 possible points across all major safety categories. For this reason, the Euro NCAP has named it Europe’s safest new car on sale in 2025.
