Xbox is set to bring cloud gaming to LG Smart TVs later this year as it makes its app available on the TVs for the first time.
In a January 6 post, Xbox Corporate Vice President, Gaming Partnerships and Business Development, Lori Wright said the move is in line with the companyâs goal of making games available to more people on more devices.
Giving LG users a treat
According to Wright, many Game Pass Ultimate members are already using Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) to play great games from the Game Pass catalog on various devices.
With the collaboration with LG Electronics, Game Pass Ultimate members have another option for devices.
Starting later this year, they will be able to play their games directly from the Xbox app on supported LG Smart TVs via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Additionally, LG Smart TV owners will be able to directly access hundreds of games in the Game Pass Ultimate catalog through the Gaming Portal.
The available games include popular titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and upcoming releases like Avowed which will launch on February 18, 2025.
The game streaming option will also be available to Game Pass Ultimate members on the Xbox app with LG Smart TVs. They can stream over 50 games they own, including NBA 2K25, Hogwarts Legacy, and more. More details will be available in coming months for gamers with LG Smart TVs.
