Uber has rolled out same-day and on-demand grocery delivery in partnership with leading online fresh food grocer, FreshDirect.
In a press release on 6 March, the company said the partnership makes it easier than ever for Uber customers to access the highest-quality fresh groceries, prepared meals, and pantry staples with the tap of a button.
Making grocery access easier
This partnership is the first time FreshDirect’s catalog will be available for on-demand delivery on a third-party app.
Going forward, FreshDirect’s selection of farm-fresh produce, premium meats and seafood, dairy products, and household essentials will all be available for ordering through the Uber Eats app.
In addition, New York City will be able to shop FreshDirect’s full range of locally sourced and high-quality products with the speed and convenience of Uber’s world-class delivery network.

According to Uber, the launch of FreshDirect on Uber Eats is part of its broader commitment to expanding its grocery delivery footprint and providing consumers with more choice and flexibility in how they shop for food.

Uber Eats customers can leverage product features like scheduled, gifted or group orders,
Whether they need ingredients for dinner that night, or want already prepared food, they can place the order and expect fast delivery.
Uber One members will also be able to unlock exclusive benefits, including $0 Delivery Fees on eligible orders.
