Trump Family reveals plans to launch crypto wallet ‘soon’

The Trump family has hinted at plans to launch a new crypto wallet through its crypto firm, World Liberty Financial.

In a tweet on 3 June, Donald Trump Jr said World Liberty Financial has been working on a wallet which will be launching soon.

An unexpected development

Trump Jr announced the plans for the wallet launch while denying any links to a “Trump Wallet” announced by NFT marketplace, Magic Eden.

After denying any links to the new wallet, he revealed plans for a wallet that is to be launched by World Liberty Financial.

Magic Eden also announced an airdrop to mark the release of the wallet, promising Trump fans $1 million in Trump rewards who join the waitlist.

Trump Jr’s response has however sparked controversy among his X followers as some said the family is actually involved with the Magic Eden wallet.

Other X users said the family needs to better coordinate its communications, as the denial was clearly a mixup because the family must have known about Magic Eden’s announcement.

The Trump family’s crypto involvement

Donald Trump has been a vocal supporter of crypto during his campaign, long before he was sworn in as president.

His involvement with crypto even led to the launch of the TRUMP token, a development that Democrat house officials have expressed disappointment with, accusing the family of ripping the public off through the token.

The family has however denied getting any profits from the TRUMP or Melania tokens which are both named after the president and first lady respectively.

In any case, an official crypto wallet from the Trump family will certainly make a huge positive difference to the crypto space and many will look forward to its launch.
