Game creator, Steam, has rolled out game recording features for all its users after it came out of the beta testing phase.
The platform announced this in a tweet on 6 October. The new features allow users to create and share gameplay footage with friends.
Game lovers can now record, replay, clip, and share their favorite gameplays everywhere in the world starting today.
Sharing moments made easy
Every player has moments in their gaming adventure that they wish to keep and share with friends. Until now, that has not been possible.
With the new Game Recording features however, users can do many things ranging from capturing highlights of gameplays to documenting entire campaigns.
The background recording mode continuously saves players’ gameplay to their preferred drive within the specified duration and storage limits.
Users can also opt for the manual On Demand Recording Mode with manual start and stop. They can use the Steam Timeline and Event Markers to find key moments.
Furthermore, there is the replay feature which allows users to quickly go back in time and see what happened when their hero died, or to recall something an NPC mentioned earlier. This feature is accessible in the Steam Overlay for every game.
Players can also clip the game footage to keep only what they like with lightweight tools in the redesigned Recordings & Screenshots interface.
After this, they can use the one-click share tool to send to a friend in chat or share their favorite moments with the world. The footage from Steam Deck can easily be transferred to PC or mobile device using the new Save/Share menu during or after play.
With these features, gamers can take their gaming experience beyond the screen to share with the world.
