Popular multimedia instant messaging Snapchat has launched watchOS on Apple watch after ten years of existence.
In a press release on 5 June, the platform announced the launch of the operating system, which is in line with its vision to make the app available on all devices.
Connection made easy
With Snapchat on Apple Watch, anyone can easily carry their communication around, right on their wrist, making it easier than ever to reach family and friends on the go.
Snapchat allows users to easily keep their friends and family by snapping pictures and sharing with ease. The app currently has over 900 million users worldwide, making it one of the most popular social apps.
With the watchOS now on Apple Watch, users can preview an incoming message and reply using the Keyboard, Scribble, Dictation, or just send an emoji.
That way, users can easily send quick messages and see updates on their communication more seamlessly than ever before.
This is one of Snapchat’s biggest milestones in its ten years of existence, and could be one of the biggest expectations of users for these years.
“The number of devices we use in our daily lives has grown. Already we’re seeing our community enjoy using Snapchat across surfaces including tablet and web, in addition to mobile, and this builds on our commitment to making Snapchat available across all the devices you use, including wearables.”
Bringing innovation
Snapchat has been making big decisions to make interaction more memorable. Last year, it launched spectacles for users in Europe, expanding the reach of the new AR devices.
With the see-through, standalone AR spectacles, users are open to new ways of experiencing the world together with friends, even those without the spectacles.
The launch of watchOS is bringing snapchatters a brand new experience as they need not carry their mobile devices around anymore if they have Apple Watches.
