As the automotive industry continues to launch new products and upgrades, Land Rover has unveiled the striking Range Rover Sport SV Black Edition, its most daring take yet on the high-performance SUV, ahead of a popular annual motorsports festival.
Indeed, the new, dramatic, and stealthy all-black monochrome Range Rover variant will be one of the stars at Goodwood Festival of Speed in the United Kingdom from July 10 to July 13, the prominent luxury vehicle manufacturer said in a press release published on July 2.
Range Rover Sport SV Black details
Specifically, the Range Rover Sport SV Black edition features the Narvik Black paint paired with the all-encompassing Narvik Gloss black exterior pack to envelop its body in reflective darkness.
At the same time, the carbon-fiber bonnet is dabbed in black sheen and complemented by gloss-black forged 23-inch alloy wheels, brake calipers, and quad exhausts. This style extends to the SV roundel on the tailgate and brand badges on the front grille reimagined in a black ceramic finish.
Meanwhile, the interior mirrors the exterior’s sentiment with performance seats upholstered in tactile Ebony Windsor leather, welcoming the occupants into a cabin dominated by Grand Gloss Black trim, illuminated by SV Black treadplates and dark ambient lighting.
Under the hood, the SV Black boasts the standard 4.4-liter twin-turbo mild-hybrid V8 engine, delivering 635 PS and 750 Nm of torque for 0-60 mph acceleration in around 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h), while retaining the advanced 6D Dynamics suspension system, carbon-ceramic brakes, and the ‘Body and Soul’ audio sensory seats.
Commenting on the release, Range Rover’s Global Managing Director Martin Limpert has described the SV Black Edition as “the essence of sporting luxury; a statement of audacious rebellion.” He also noted that the design team had pushed monochrome finishes further than ever:
“It appears to the eye as if the vehicle has been dipped in gloss.”
Elsewhere, the powerful 117 kWh Range Rover Electric prototypes successfully completed a second round of testing and development in the sub-zero conditions of the Arctic Circle to demonstrate all-round capability in various temperatures in April, with the company revealing more of its impressive details.
