German sport car company Porsche has extended its news availability to WhatsApp, giving users of the app ready access.
In a press release on 27 February, the company said it has created two news channels on the messenger app, one for Porsche News and the other Porsche Motorsport.
While the first channel brings news on the latest happenings and products in the company, the second brings updates about the international racing activities of the factory teams.
Why it’s important
Communication is an important aspect of any company’s growth, and the wider the company can reach its fans and customers the better.
This is why Porsche is extending its news sources to WhatsApp, a messenger app owned by Meta with nearly 3 billion active users worldwide.
From its website, the company already has a presence on X, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, with WhatsApp being the latest social platform to join.
The new offerings expand the options for fans and followers of the brand, with a new way to receive the latest Porsche information directly on their smartphones.
Users can either click links for the respective channels on the website to join the one that suits them, or even better simply scan the QR codes available with their smartphones.
Pushing forward
Porsche has been pushing forward with its technology to forward innovation and improve customer experience, to which the expansion of communication to WhatsApp is a testament.
It is also not left behind in the development of its vehicle making process. Just early this month, the company announced the upgrading of its driving simulators to help in the design of cars at the software stage.
With the simulators, test drivers can have a feel of what the finished product would feel like and make recommendations for changes where necessary prior to the building of the vehicle.
