PlayStation is set to launch the Marvel Rivals game on December 6, with new PS5 Pro enhancements.
In a blog post on 2 December, the producer of Marvel Rivals, Stephen Wu said the game will be completely free at its launch.
It will feature 33 heroes and villains for players to choose from, each of which has a unique set of abilities.
An immersive gaming experience
The new game gives players an immersive superhero combat experience by using the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback technology of the PS5 DualSense wireless controller to deliver immersive sensations.
Players will be able to feel the changes in trigger tension and dynamic vibration when different heroes release skills. For example, when the punisher fires his machine gun, or Hulk delivers a powerful punch, players will feel the sensation as though they were in a live combat.
The game also comes with maximized vision for PS5, which is augmented for PS5 Pro. The developers placed high importance on smooth performance of the game, since it is a high-intensity multiplayer competitive game.
Using the Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen Global Illumination and Chaos Destruction technology, Marvel Rivals has managed to maintain a stable 60 FPS at 1440p resolutions.
By combining visuals and performance, the game is sure to deliver the best visual effects for players’ enjoyment, and PlayStation Plus players have even more to look forward to, while non-Plus players can purchase items in-game.
Many game releases
PlayStation has released many games this year, with more to follow next year. Among those that have been released are Redacted, while Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is scheduled for release in February 2025.
