Leading gaming and AI company Nvidia has launched new GeForce RTX Series graphics cards and laptops.
The company announced the launch on 6 January in a blog on its official website. The new graphics cards and laptops powered by Nvidia Blackwell will be a game changer for AI and neural rendering, both for gamers and creators, the announcement said.Ā
Among other things, they will accelerate frame rates by up to 8X, reduce latency by up to 75% and enable next-level graphical fidelity for gamers and creators with NVIDIA RTX Neural Shaders.
Taking computer graphics higher
With GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and laptops, users will enjoy game-changing performance, power transformative AI experiences, and enable creators to complete workflows in record time, but this is not all.
One of the biggest strengths of the new graphics cards and laptops is their role in neural rendering, which is the future of computer graphics.
Nvidia started neural rendering with DLSS, which has now evolved to generate entire frames and understand the composition of a scene including shadows, reflections, and occlusion to generate better images.
RTX Neural Shaders take this ability to another level with their advanced features. They save space by allowing users to compress textures by up to 7X, thus freeing up graphics space. They are also excellent for creating cinematic-quality textures and advanced lighting effects in games.
In addition, RTX Neural Faces offers a new and innovative way to improve face quality using generative AI. It uses a simple rasterized face plus 3D pose data as input and uses a real-time generative AI model to infer a more natural face, which is superior to traditional rendering.
Ultimately, this gives gamers and creators the most rewarding experience overall, as they can do what they do with more ease and fun.
Establishing Nvidiaās position
This new launch is another step towards maintaining Nvidiaās position as a gaming and AI leader. The company recently announced the building of special compact computers for humanoid robots as it shifted its focus from building AI models.
Both the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 are expected to be available in stores by 30 January, while the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5070 will be available starting in February.
