Google has made major improvements to Google Shopping in its new update. The AI-driven improvements are to give users a better experience by simplifying the shopping process.
In a tweet on 15 October, the company said the new Google Shopping will make it easier to shop by giving users personalized updates on their feeds, and finding the best prices for them with the help of AI.
A new shopping experience
Google has been trending for its application of AI to many of its products recently. Today, the company is introducing a better shopping experience for users with the integration of Gemini in Google Shopping.
Google Vice President and General Manager Consumer Shopping, Sean Scott in the announcement said:,
âWe’ve been using our advances in AI to make shopping on Google even easier, and today, weâre introducing a transformed Google Shopping â rebuilt from the ground up with AI. Weâve paired the 45 billion product listings in Googleâs Shopping Graph with Gemini models to transform the online shopping experience with a new, personalized shopping home, which is rolling out in the U.S. over the coming weeks, starting today.â
The AI-enhanced Google Shopping makes shopping research easier by showing users only the most relevant products. The user gets an AI-generated brief with top things to consider for their search, plus products that meet their specific needs.
Also with the new personalized feeds, users can get inspiration on what to buy with shoppable products and videos based on their preferences.
Even more importantly, users can now use deal-finding tools like price comparison, price insights and price tracking throughout, and a new dedicated and personalized deals page where they can browse for the best deals with the best prices.
Googleâs AI adventure
Google has made much progress with AI, as it seeks to offer users a better experience in everything.
The company recently launched its latest and most advanced AI image generation model, Imagen 3, which makes image generation easier and with better results.
