Microsoft has launched adapted AI models for industry to help businesses enhance productivity.
In a blog on 14 November, the company said that the models are tailored to address specific challenges facing different businesses rather than one-size-fit-all models.
The adapted AI models are rolling out in partnership with industry partners such as Bayer, Cerence, Rockwell Automation, Saifr, Siemens Digital Industries Software, Sight Machine and more.
A response to needs
The AI industry has grown rather rapidly, with businesses adopting the technology to improve productivity on all levels.
According to a recent study, the adoption of AI has increased from 55% to 75% between 2023 and 2024. This adoption is expected to increase in the coming years, but with businesses looking to build their own models, not pre-built ones.
It is in response to this that Microsoft is launching adapted models to cater to specific and unique needs of businesses.
The models will be based on Microsoft Cloud, which is the company’s platform for innovation. The company stated in the announcement that:
“This collaboration allows us to create extensive scenarios for customers globally, with embedded AI capabilities — from industry data solutions in Microsoft Fabric to AI agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio to AI models in Azure AI Studio — that enable industries to realize their full potential.”
Prioritizing trust
There is a lot of criticism and skepticism around AI, which is responsible for some of the resistance to the adoption of the technology.
Microsoft is working on eliminating these doubts by focusing its strategy on safety, security and privacy, as trustworthy AI is the foundation of the company’s innovation, the blog says.
With this, the company intends to embed AI at the core of every business with solutions targeted at the unique challenges facing those businesses.
