After teasing its innovative Vision V concept, Mercedes-Benz has revealed more details and full specifications of the upcoming electric luxury and spacious van range that will include the new VLS and VLE models.
Indeed, the latest design, which the company has named Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), aims to cater to the highest customer demands, boasting ample interior space and lounge comfort, according to the Mercedes-Benz press release on April 22.

Specifically, the flexible and scalable VAN.EA, which will hit the car salons in 2026, has introduced the ‘Private Lounge’ concept, including entry-segment family vehicles, exclusive VIP shuttles, and luxurious limousines – to meet every customer’s needs.
As it happens, the immersive lounge comes equipped with a retractable 65-inch cinema screen, a surround-sound system with 42 speakers (and additional ones) and seven projectors, a game controller, an illuminated foldable running board, and an automatically opening ‘portal’ door on the right-hand side.
But there’s more. The interior boasts crystal-white Nappa leather and shimmering white silk alongside open-pore burr wood, while the display cabinets, placed along the side walls to hold personal accessories like a phone or handbag, feature a dark wood trim and polished aluminum trim strips.
The infotainment system is operated via a touchpad placed in the automatically adjustable center console between the two individual seats. It is also designed as a display cabinet and has a fold-out table that appears as a high-quality chessboard when extended.
Naturally, the seats are electrically adjustable, retractable, and fully reclinable, accompanied by the all-around ambient lighting with strip lights and a ceiling lamp, as well as the fragrance in an elegant, polished aluminum bottle behind the center console.
Finally, an intelligent, switchable glass wall separates this private area from the driver and users can change it from transparent to opaque – be it completely or in sections. The same goes for the other window panes, thanks to the tiny liquid crystals that align themselves using electrical voltage.
Vision V concept exterior
On the outside, the Vision V concept features an aerodynamic design, with short overhangs and the front end, a narrow waistline, a tautly stretched roofline, smoothly rounded rear, chrome trim elements, transparent illuminated louvers, LED lighting visible from every angle, and welcome screens on the chrome-plated B-pillars.
The front holds a newly interpreted chrome radiator grille, three horizontal illuminated glass louvers, 200 technical-looking light elements surrounding the chrome frame, a further 190 of them in a pronounced open body gap below the bonnet, framing the headlights on the sides in the shape of the Mercedes symbol.
There are also two pronounced power domes on the short bonnet, extending into the cockpit, as well as large wheel arches and an expressive molded edge in combination with the anthracite-colored, metallic shimmering alubeam paintwork and the chrome-plated window surrounds.
The 24-inch wheels also have illuminated louvers, and more than 450 3D illuminated louvers functioning as taillights and brake lights frame the large rear window.
Elsewhere, Mercedes-Benz is also working on state-of-the-art paint with solar power modules that could address the problem of owners of electric vehicles (EVs) still heavily depending on charging infrastructure that might be less than adequate or require too much time.
