Amid quite a productive spring for many game development studios, another major gaming title – Lords of the Fallen – has received a massive, ‘definitive’ update across all platforms with tons of new features and improvements.
As it happens, CI Games and Hexworks have overhauled their dark fantasy action RPG with a ‘Version 2.0’ update that they also applied across all supported platforms, adding a wide range of features and changes, according to the infographic provided by the Lords of the Fallen team on April 18.
What Lords of the Fallen ‘definitive’ update brings
Specifically, ‘Version 2.0’ marks the peak of the work that included more than 50 post-launch updates and its biggest innovations include shared progression cross-play co-op, where both players can now save all mainline progress and revive each other, and a free Friend’s Pass to invite anyone you want to play with online across any platform.
Then there are the refinements to movement and combat, such as increased weapon responsiveness, improved lock-on, and grievous strike prompts, a redesigned character creator with improved facial options, skin textures, and body types, as well as a dynamic HUD and enhanced evasions.
And that’s not all either, as developers have introduced a revamped tutorial featuring streamlined prompts for improved player onboarding, an easier UI, optional automation of the Vigor collection, better combat audio, Umbral Lamp guidance to reveal the path to the next vestige, and a dedicated jump button allows you to jump “anytime, anywhere, for more intuitive platforming.”
Elsewhere, other popular titles in the gaming sphere have also witnessed major updates, including the beloved Baldur’s Gate 3, which has just received its most recent and final patch – Patch 8 – marking the end of an era for fans who looked forward to the innovations in each and every new BG3 patch.
