As automotive manufacturers continue to launch new models and bring exciting improvements to the existing ones, Jeep is no exception, unveiling its Dark Sky – an innovative take on the special-edition Gladiator convertible pickup.
Indeed, Jeep has added the Dark Sky model to its Gladiator lineup, the industry’s only open-air pickup truck, with an aim to provide its customers with more choice for their different requirements, according to a press release from May 21.
Jeep Gladiator Dark Sky specifications
Specifically, Gladiator Dark Sky draws inspiration from the Sport S trim, bundling its popular features. They include a performance hood with desert-rated Mojave styling, gloss-black bumper inserts, and dark-colored badges and decals.
For the first time ever, customers will be able to equip an optional body-color hardtop roof for the Sport S trim. Additional standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with Uconnect 5, body-color fender flares, Jeep’s active safety equipment, and a premium, wrapped steering wheel.
Furthermore, Gladiator Dark Sky features heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles with front axle disconnect, transmission, and transfer case skid plates, as well as 10 inches of standard ground clearance.
Additionally, it provides an unprecedented 7,770 lbs (3,492.66 kilograms) max tow rating in the segment and a best-in-class 4×4 payload of 1,725 lbs (782.45 kilograms).
Meanwhile, the popular automobile manufacturer has recently presented its innovative Awning and Rooftop Tent (ARTT) concept, an all-in-one, lightweight, and low-profile awning and rooftop tent system that seamlessly integrates with Jeep Wrangler and is accessible through the vehicle’s roof.
Elsewhere, Jeep has been declared America’s most patriotic brand for 2025 among the 1,350 competitors in an annual Brand Keys survey, making it the 24th year in a row that the popular off-road brand, which has been around since World War II, to win this recognition.
