Toyota Unveils New High-performance A90 Final Edition and upgraded GR Supra Lightweight EVO

Toyota has unveiled two vehicles — the new high-performance GR Supra A90 Final Edition, and GR Supra Lightweight EVO.

The A90 Final Edition now has Limited edition features that increase engine power and torque, enhanced handling, stronger brakes, and a KW suspension system.

For GR Supra Lightweight EVO, there is improved Braking, suspension and aerodynamic updates that give better handling.

A story of evolution

The GR Supra was first introduced as Celica Supra in 1978, with front-engine, and rear-wheel-drive layout powered by an in-line six-cylinder engine.

While this design has been retained over the years, the cars have evolved significantly. It became the first global model to be developed by TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR), the umbrella organization for Toyota’s global motorsport activities.

According to Toyota, the GR Supra “A90 Final Edition” was created as a limited edition to appreciate the current-generation Supra fans and celebrate its active participation in motorsport worldwide.

The A90 Final Edition will also serve as the model’s culmination, ending the production of the GR Supra.

Apart from the KW suspension, it has also received powertrain updates that increased output from 340 DIN hp (250 kW) to 435 DIN hp (320 kW) and torque from 500 Nm to 570 Nm for faster acceleration and response.

For the GR Supra Lightweight EVO, Toyota has improved driving experience based on user feedback. Notable changes include improved traction between the tyre and the road surface, increased cornering grip, as well as enhanced stability and strength.

Both the updated GR Supra Lightweight EVO and GR Supra A90 Final Edition will be available to order in Europe from January 2025.
