Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer has announced a lineup of exciting games to be released on Xbox in 2024 and beyond.
Spencer made the 発表 on September 26 at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 in Japan. He stated that the games will be launched from Activision, Bethesda, and Xbox Game Studios, making many games available to Japanese and other players across the world.
The lineup of releases
The release commences next week with the Starfield Expansion Shattered Space game, which will be available to players everywhere.
This is an expansion to Starfield from Bethesda game studio, where the players will explore a mysterious new planet while they find unique weapons, space suits, and gear.
A fully localized version of the game will be fully available to Japanese players with the interface, voice acting, and subtitles, all in Japanese.
In October, Blizzard will launch Vessel of Hatred, the first expansion for Diablo IV.
Players will go on an adventure into a new region of sanctuary, with an all new character class and mercenary companions to fight alongside and challenge themselves with a new endgame experience, Dark Citadel.
Call of Duty: Black Ops VI will also be available on Xbox consoles, PC, and with Game Pass in October.
Set in the 90s, the game features a new campaign, incredibly deep multiplayer, ground-based zombies, and Redefined player movements.
Next, the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will go live in November, with a lot of its content plan tailored to Japanese players.
Similarly, Starcraft remastered and Starcraft II will be available with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on November 5th.
In December, Indiana Jones and the great circle will make its debut.
Themed after the movie classic Indianna Jones, the adventure game will put players in the shoes of the world’s most famous archaeologist, and will also be localized in Japanese.
Looking into next year
The lineup continues in 2025 with new games including the Vow, South of Midnight, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Fable, all of which will be available on day one with Game Pass.
Xbox seems to be progressively interested in Japan and Asia, and this is because of the growing popularity of its games. According to Spencer, there are more people playing with Xbox across all devices in Asia today than ever before.
