Italian luxury sports car maker Ferrari has announced a technical collaboration with Cadillac Formula 1 Team to supply its power unit and gearbox in 2026.
In a press release on 10 December, the company said the agreement is subject to the Formula 1 Team being accepted into the 2026 FIA Formula One Championship.
Harnessing Ferrariâs power
Ferrari is a household name when it comes to sports cars. The company has a long track record of cars that have reached significant milestones in car racing, such as Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, Ferrari 156 âSharknoseâ, Ferrari 250 GTO among others.
The 296 GT3 is the latest to celebrate its 100th victory in two years of competition in the opening round of the 2024â2025 Asian Le Mans Series at the Sepang circuit.
Cadillac formula 1 will be harnessing this historic power of Ferrari to boost its performance in 2026 by integrating its power unit and gearbox.
In a comment, Graeme Lowdon, Team Principal of Cadillac Formula 1 Team led by TWG Global and General Motors said:

Ferrari expanding in U.S.
Ferrari, which has multinational information technology giant HP as its title partner also expressed delight in partnering with Cadillac on Formula 1, which makes it the second Ferrari customer in the U.S.

Formula 1 indeed has a lot to look forward to in the competition in 2026 with Ferrariâs technology behind it.
