Luxury car maker Cadillac has unveiled its first ever all-electric luxury full-size SUV, the 2026 Cadillac ESCALADE IQL.
In a press release on 5 March, the company said the SUV features the best of the ESCALADE IQ and offers additional passenger and cargo capacity to meet the lifestyle needs of customers who require extra space.
A focus on space
The 2026 ESCALADE IQL was designed with unique character and engineered to maximize spaciousness for passengers in all three rows.
It also offers ample storage for cargo and gear either behind the third row or in the secure eTrunk.
On top of that, the vehicle has a commanding exterior design with a sophisticated, longer silhouette, offering enhanced spaciousness in the third-row and additional rear storage.
Craig Sass from Cadillac Design said:
“The ESCALADE IQL builds on our iconic Escalade DNA, with a commanding profile offering additional cargo capacity. Brimming with the luxurious features and design found on the ESCALADE IQ, the ESCALADE IQL is another showcase of Cadillac’s artful integration of innovation.”
The ESCALADE IQL is also the first ever all-electric vehicle in the Escalade lineup, giving customers more options to choose from. John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac said:
“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury full-size SUV in North America since 2014. The ESCALADE IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio. With the ESCALADE IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion.”
Performance highlights
While the car offers more space, its performance remains uncompromised. It features 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque, and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds with driver-selectable Velocity Max.
In range, this automobile delivers up to a Cadillac-estimated 460 miles of range and can charge for up to 116 miles of range in 10 minutes at a public DC Fast Charging Station.
The ESCALADE IQL will be offered in four trims – Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport.
