BTC ETFs Hit 6-Week Streak, Last Seen in Mid-2025
In Brief
- • US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded six straight weeks of inflows, adding $622.75M last week alone.
- • Institutional demand for Bitcoin exposure remains strong.
- • Progress on the US CLARITY Act could further boost ETF and institutional crypto adoption.
While the crypto market moves largely within a range, the US spot BTC exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been posting gains week after week.
As of May 8, the cumulative total net inflow is $59.34 billion. The last week alone brought in $622.75 million. Notably, this was the latest in the line of six consecutive weeks of positive flows. The highest amount in this streak was $996.38 million for the week of May 13-17.

Notably, the last time these ETFs posted six green weeks in a row was in June and July of 2025, when they managed to reach seven consecutive weeks. Moreover, seven is the highest number reached since the ETFs’ launch, hitting it three times in their history.
The highest total weekly inflow was $3.38 billion, seen in late November 2024. October 2025 recorded the highest weekly amount for that year of $3.24 billion. The week of January 12-16, 2026, posted the highest number so far this year, with $1.42 billion.
The week is mixed, but stays green
Looking at the daily flows, we find that three of the five days recorded positive flows, the highest of which is Monday’s $532.21 million. The highest outflow was Thursday’s $277.5 million.
Morgan Stanley was the only one posting inflows on Friday, taking in $5.74 million. At the same time, by the closing time on May 8, three ETFs recorded outflows. Fidelity let go of $97.6 million, followed by BlackRock’s $27.22 million and Ark & 21Shares’ $26.56 million.

Overall, there has been a notable, increasing interest in BTC exposure, with institutions choosing the digital coin as part of their diversified portfolios. Some focus on BTC, others choose ETH and altcoins. Some invest directly, and others choose exposure via ETFs.
For example, just recently, Capital B, a France-based Bitcoin treasury company, said it raised over €15.2 million to buy more BTC, with Blockstream CEO Adam Back as one of its supporters.
Moreover, the interest in this type of investment vehicle is likely to grow further with the advancement of the Clarity Act in the US. The Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott scheduled the markup for Thursday, May 14, ending months of delay and uncertainty. This is the first of five remaining steps before the bill becomes law.
