Bitcoin Defends Key Support With $90K Break on Deck
Bitcoin Defends Key Support With $90K Break on Deck
In Brief
- • Bitcoin is holding critical $86K support needed to preserve bullish structure.
- • A move and monthly close above $90K would signal a potential bottom.
- • Losing $86K could open targets down toward $82K–$76K.
Bitcoin (BTC) is clinging to one of its most important support levels of the month, and cryptocurrency market analysts are warning that $86,000 is the level Bitcoin needs to hold to maintain bullish structure on the lower timeframes.
So far, the market is respecting that zone, but pressure is clearly building.
All Eyes on the $90K Break
If Bitcoin can hold above $86K and push towards $90,000, it would mark the first serious attempt to reclaim the lost momentum after weeks of downside, according to the analysis shared by renowned crypto trading expert Michaël van de Poppe in an X post on November 26.

As van de Poppe noted, a monthly close north of $90K would be especially meaningful, stating that:
“If the monthly closes north of the $90K zone, then this was the low.”
The chart he shared highlights $86K support acting as the immediate floor, the $90K region as the first critical resistance, a larger resistance band extending toward $91.7K, and price consolidating just above support with decreasing volatility.
Bitcoin Price Analysis
For now, Bitcoin is changing hands at the price of $86,864.56, which suggests a decline of 0.39% on the day, having lost 4.95% to its value over the past week, and dipping 24.77% across the previous month, according to the most recent charts.

Historically, BTC has often seen major trend reversals when the monthly close retakes a broken structural level, and $90K is the first of those reclaimed thresholds.
But failure to hold $86K, perhaps under the influence of negatively perceived developments like Strategy not purchasing any BTC for the first time in weeks, could reopen lower targets around $82K, $80K, and $76K, which traders are watching as secondary demand zones.
