As the productive spring for the gaming sector continues, one of the industry’s most familiar names – Bethesda – seems to be working on a number of remastered versions of its beloved classics, including the popular Fallout 3.
Indeed, Bethesda might be preparing to launch at least two big of its classics from the Xbox 360 era, one of which is might just be Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and the other Fallout 3, according to the information shared by Pure Xbox in a report published on April 17.
Specifically, the report recalled the biggest leak in Xbox history a couple of years back that mentioned both remasters and quoted the apparent industry insider known as NateTheHate, who said on social media that a Fallout 3 remaster was in the works but that we shouldn’t expect it for a while.
Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are coming
Considering that the Oblivion remake is still a thing, it would make sense for the same to be true for Fallout 3, although the old leaked documents suggest it would happen much later than an Oblivion remaster. Per the report, there were no other remasters mentioned at the time, but some of the games only had codenames.
As a reminder, a few Reddit users have earlier dug up some accidentally (or not) leaked screenshots from the website of Virtuos Games, the developer of Elder Scrolls IV, suggesting that an Oblivion master is, indeed, coming up, although Bethesda remained coy, stating it had “no official information on an Oblivion remake.”
Meanwhile, gamers everywhere have other things to enjoy and/or look forward to, even if Oblivion and Fallout 3 aren’t so close, like the recently launched final patch for the popular Baldur’s Gate 3 and the upcoming XCOM-inspired Star Wars Zero Company that will hit the shelves for Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Then, there’s Lords of the Fallen with its major cross-platform update, the surprise in the form of early access to RuneScape Dragonwilds, the earlier Fallout 76 Ghoul Within update, Hearthstone’s Patch 32.0, and rumors of a Knights of the Old Republic remake, just to name a few.
