Apple has expanded its Business Connect tools to help businesses find more customers regardless of size and location.
The premium phone producer announced this in a blog post on 16 October. The company stated that for the first time, businesses can manage the way they appear to over 1 billion Apple users using Apple Business Connect.
Giving digital businesses wider reach
In this internet age, many businesses operate exclusively online with no physical location. In many cases, such businesses are disadvantaged because of lack of trust or other factors.
With the new expansion, Apple is giving such businesses a chance to reach more customers without having to change their business models.
David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product said:
“We’re excited to offer all businesses — including those without a physical location — the ability to create a brand that appears across the Apple apps that over a billion people use every day.” We designed Business Connect to empower businesses to present the best, most accurate information to Apple users. With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow.”
Going forward, any verified business can enjoy constant presence across apps that customers use every day, including Apple Maps, Wallet, and Mail. To enjoy the service, any business can sign up for Apple Business Connect to create a visual brand identity and reach customers easily.
More to come
The new tool that allows businesses to reach more customers is a great addition, but there’s more.
Next year, Apple intends to enable businesses to register for Business Caller ID. They will then have their name, logo, and department appear on the inbound call screen when they contact customers.
This will help customers to distinguish verified businesses from spam callers and other unwanted outreach, enabling them to easily identify genuine businesses.
